nightmare

Created for a film competition in April 2024, inspiration came from the film Fantastic Planet (1973) and the aesthetic "dreamcore". I remember watching Fantastic Planet and loving the almost psychedelic visuals, and the story. The look of this film inspired me to try something a little bit different with this film. The visuals of "dreamcore" also inspired me with the backgrounds of this project. This film is about having a dream about either a toxic environment and/or a place you used to be a lot but are no longer at. It's about how nostalgia might cloud our minds of places and make it seem like something better than they were.
